1. Dead Vlei, Namibia. One of the most incredible landscapes in Africa

An old lake surrounded by vegetation that ended up drying up. The dunes surrounded it and the intense sun petrified the trees, shaping one of the most surreal landscapes in Africa. These blackened trunks are almost a thousand years old and the contrast of the yellows and oranges of the soil and the dunes is spectacular.

We visit another of those corners that seem from another planet. In the Danakil desert we find the craters of the Dallol volcano. Some say it is hell on earth. And they have some reason, because of the high temperatures, because of the sulfur and sulfur formations and because of the lakes of waters loaded with dangerous acids that populate it.

Legend has it that their peculiar shape is due to the fact that they were very conceited trees, so much so that a god turned them over and put the roots upwards. Madagascar is one of the few places where you can still walk among these unique trees.

It is one of those landscapes of Africa capable of leaving you speechless. Erg Chebbi is a sea of ​​dunes, but so spectacular that they reach 150 meters in height. A golden landscape that changes with the daylight, turning almost reddish at sunset, so that the dunes seem almost to burn.
