1. Sanlúcar de Barrameda

It is located at the mouth of the Guadalquivir river and it is really charming. In the unique fishing district of Bajo de Guía you can enjoy fantastic sunsets. Also of the exquisite gastronomy of the area, with the prawns from Sanlúcar and the shrimp omelettes as protagonists and well accompanied by manzanilla.

Among the monuments of Sanlúcar, palaces such as Orleáns y Borbón or Medina Sidonia stand out. But in addition, you  have to visit the castle of Santiago or the Convent of the Descalzas, among many other attractions.

It is one of the most beautiful Cadiz towns and also one of the most visited in Andalusia. Its whitewashed facades remind us that it is one of the towns that give life to the route of the white villages.

Among the attractions of Arcos de la Frontera are the Basilica of Santa María de la Asunción and the castle.  Nor should you miss the Conde Del Águila House-Palace, the Bornos reservoir and the Cola del Embalse natural site.

As for the center of the town, it houses an amazing historical complex, with dozens of palace-houses that belonged to the merchants who traveled to the Indies. In addition, the Main Priory Church and the Castillo de San Marcos stand out. Be sure to visit the port to eat fried fish, seafood stews and taste delicious wines.

6. Medina Sidonia

This town was declared a Historic-Artistic Site due to its number of outstanding monuments. Medina Sidonia is located in the La Janda region and maintains its medieval air within the walled enclosure and the entrance arches. Inside you can see fortifications, convents, churches and even Roman bridges.

7. Villaluenga del Rosario

A beautiful town built at the foot of a rocky massif, it is the highest town in all of Cádiz. The steep and narrow streets blend into the landscape. With their white facades, in Villaluenga del Rosario the churches of San Miguel and El Salvador stand out. And if you like caving, this site is ideal for you because it has more than 80 caves.

8. Zahara de la Sierra

Another of the beautiful Cadiz towns that should be on a typical tour of the province. It is located within the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park, on the slopes of the Sierra del Jaral.
